The exhibition also include selected sculptures by Berlin based artist Bettina Pousttchi (b. 1971), which are made out of materials typically used to construct architectural studies. Outside the building will be one of her emblematic sculptures made out of the commonly used crash barriers of the German motorway system, linking the highly frequented roads at the intersection of the BNKR building to the exhibition space itself. Sculptures from another series will be placed throughout the exhibition galleries, appearing to resemble architectural models, while they are in fact found objects that are used as special building blocks in constructing walls of houses. Bettina Pousttchi’s work has been featured in numerous art institutions worldwide and has been shown simultaneously at Berlinische Galerie and KINDL Centre for Contemporary Art (Berlin) in 2019.
