THE ARCHITECTURE OF Deception / Confinement / Transformation

The BNKR publication "THE ARCHITECTURE OF" documents the exhibition trilogy (2020/2022) of the same name, which was curated by Sam Bardaouil and Till Fellrath and presented the works of eighteen different artists in the BNKR art space.

 

Each of the three chapters, DECEPTION / CONFINEMENT / TRANSFORMATION, corresponds to the exhibition narrative that gradually condenses in the bunker, a building that initially functioned as a World War II bunker, was used as an internment camp after the war and today houses apartments, an office and the exhibition space as a mixed use. The publication was designed by Herburg Weiland and contains contributions from the editors, David Adjaye and Nikolaus Hirsch, as well as Madeleine Freund.
